SCOTCH

Scotch is a diagonal stitch made up of interlocking squares in diagonal rows.

STEP BY STEP
- To begin make a Tent Stitch across one intersection of the canvas then make a second stitch immediately below it over 2 intersections. Then your third stitch is the longest stitch across 3 intersections, the fourth across two and end with a tent stitch.
- Your final tent stitch also acts as the first stitch of the next square in the diagonal row Repeat the sequence diagonally to the end of your first row.
- For your second row the squares interlock by placing the longest stitch of the new row next to the shortest stitch of the previous row.
