NOBUKO

Nobuko is made up of alternating long and short diagonal stitches worked horizontally.

STEP BY STEP
- To begin, create a Tent Stitch over one intersection of the canvas. For your second stitch bring your needle up 2 intersections along and one row below your first stitch and take your needle down diagonally across 3 intersections of the canvas. Then stitch another Tent Stitch parallel to the first and continue alternating to complete your first row.
- For your second row place your first Tent Stitch so that it meets with the longer middle stitch of the previous row.
DOUBLE ALTERNATING NOBUKO
Alternate between 2 Tent Stitches followed by 2 longer stitches. Change the direction of the stitches for each row to create a woven effect.
