use the needle threader
Some people seem to have the knack of being able to thread a needle first time whilst others struggle. To help, all of our kits include a needle threader.
The threader has a large hook on one end and a smaller hook on the other.
Slot the large hook through the eye of your tapestry needle then hook one end of your yarn around the large hook and pull it (and the yarn) back through the eye of the needle. Magic!
select your stitches
One of the joys of needlepoint is you are not limited to just one type of stitch. Within your kit you will find our stitch suggestions for your chosen design. Alternatively, you might simply want to start with the basic Tent Stitch and use that across your whole project, the end result will still look fantastic.
If you prefer to experiment with different stitches take a look at our alternative stitch guides. The choice is entirely up to you.

top tip
You can use the outer edges around the canvas to sample stitches. You can always unpick them later once you've finished.
